    the 310w ones...
The price is about the same as what you'd pay from a normal distributor, if you met their minimum order quantity (usually 20+ panels). Buying just a couple panels at that price is nice if that is all you need, but isn't the kind of deal that would be worth dropping all other plans to pursue.

When I compare it with prices on wholesale solar .com it seems too good a price. I am wondering what makes these panels so much cheaper? Build quality ? reliability? Brand?

In FL you have to design your mounting to handle 160 - 180 MPH winds, depending on where you are. Check out IronRidge's ground mount. You can design it to meet the local code. They have a terrific online Design Assistant to help you design it right. Ignore the prices they give, it's MSRP. Distributors will give you much better pricing. http://www.ironridge.com/ground-based-mounting/overview

And I agree with everyone else, go grid-tied.

Look at Renvu, Tandem Solar, or ACOSolar to see similar pricing on their commodity brands. The site you linked is more expensive across the board.

If cost effectiveness is one of your goals, keep the horse before the cart and do the non sexy, more cost effective parts first. Lower demand as much as possible. Read part 1 again.
