I've received three Sunpower lease quotes .13c kwh (32 panels e20/327) -16c kwh (20 panels e20/327). Anyone getting lease quotes?

Sunpower system
I appreciated having numbers when i was negotiating my contract so i'll pay it forward:
I'm in San Diego with an approximately 4kW system. Pretty simple roof mount on comp shingles. My contract is for $3.57/watt. Sunpower 345 watt panels, Solaredge power optimizers, Solaredge inverter.
I actually called Sunpower when i first started researching solar and they hooked me up with my installer. It's one of the bigger names in San Diego.
Good luck!Comment

If you don't mind, can you confirm your $/W figure (pre rebates/credits) or PM me a copy of your invoice? If it's too much trouble, don't worry about it. You've been kind enough to an internet stranger.
Thanks in advance either way!Comment

Sorry I can't PM you. We're actually using the same installer, but they're telling me your contract is for $3.98/W. I'm definitely not questioning your calculation, but more so worried that the installer is being dishonest with me.

Trust but verify.
My point was that CSI prices were not as subject to convenient memories, boasting or he said/she said unverifiable nonsense. Before the CSI funding ran out, I got to verify contract prices against CSI #'s for jobs in my HOA. In about 35 or so cases, all matched. To the penny. The one incorrect price I'm aware of was on a contract for a San Diego poster to this forum. That one was later corrected.
While I'd like to believe the current poster who's claiming $3.57/Watt for a Sunpower system, without employee "Friends and Family" discounts, systems for vendor's personal use or other outlier reasons, I'm curious as to why that price is about a buck a Watt or so less than the more common $ number - usually somewhere north of $4.50/Watt or maybe a bit less. If $3.57 before tax credits and rebates, etc. is possible, I'd be very pleased and I'd respectfully suggest the Admin. consider allowing disclosure of that vendor as a public service, as that $3.57/Watt price is about a buck a Watt less than the going rate for Sunpower, and will make their equipment much closer to being cost effective for more applications.Comment

If you like to go with SunPower, you should wait for 6-8 months. They are working on a new product made in China with almost double yields, much higher % efficiency and half price, and 40-50 years life span. Their price will drop soon ... But I mean equipment price, not labor price (it is up to your installer).

Sun Power Quote
I have a quote for ~$3.85 / watt for SP including dual mppt SMA inverter at ~ 5 Kw system size. I came to this calculation by assuming the electrical panel upgrade I needed was worth $2500 and pulling it out of the quotes. Lower end LG panels (w/ ever popular SE optimizers and inverters) at about 60 cents less per watt. I'm leaning heavily towards the LG as I don't see a clear ROI on the SP.
This is from a recommended (by you folks) installer here in San Diego without haggling.
ThanksComment
