The price you see on CSI datebase is the complete job costs included part, labor and all fees. You don't need to pay any sales taxes on top of that amount. In construction, you pay for completed job. You don't have to worry about sales tax because there is none apply to you.Comment

Hello! I have been searching the CSI website for the system price information but so far all I've found is the average price/kW for systems installed in my area. Can someone post the link to the "price" information where the "price" database location URL or is it simply the spreadsheet i found and just do the math?
Thanks!
2.) Click on "Download Current CSI data"
3.) Either save or open the file. I'd suggest saving and then opening.
The most current data set is from 12/18/2013. New (updated) spreadsheets are issued on Weds barring glitches/holidays.
The 12/18/2013 version (latest) has 162,342 rows. Each row represents a "job" with everything about that job one could likely want except the name and mailing address of the owner. The price is in column "H". That price is before fed. tax credits or any CSI incentives.
The database is a very powerful tool if some time is spent learning how to use all the info. Sort/comb/separate by price, date, zip, size, mfr., etc. Add col. for price/Watt, whatever. It can be a real eye opener. Enjoy.Comment

Download the "Raw Data Set" because it has most current database of people who just submit their CSI application. Highlight or look column"W" "First New Reservation". Using "Sort & Filter" from a to z, It will sorting from oldest to newest. Use you zip code to find your neighbors' solar sizes and prices they pay. Play with it, if you want to know what others in area paying for their solar. It has detail information just about everything.Comment

Thanks for all the help. I went through the database and wow! I found the exact same system, same size, same exact components I am looking at, installed by the same installer in April of 2013 for $6000 LESS then what the installer quoted for my installation. I think me and the installer need to talk!!

I wont be surprise about it. I have seems a recent installed 11.76kW with 245W Kyocera for $49,200 in San Diego area on the forum who used the same installer as I did. That is about $4.18 per Watt. That is about the price for a SunPower system.... I guess the most important part is having a happy customer.Comment

Take it a look. What is your gross cost? I meant before all incentives.Comment

I was just writing a message to you..... on CSI database the installer claim $49,200 with zip code CA 92130 utilities company CCSE. Exact same amount of panels with SMA 3000TL & 8000US inverters. CSI Application: SD-CSI-18133
Take it a look. What is your gross cost? I meant before all incentives.Comment

The answer to your first question above is yes. The answer to your 2d question: The "Total Cost" in the CSI database is what you pay to the vendor - dealer prep, freight, title, taxes, floor mats, goofs & giggles. Federal tax credits and or any other incentives, rebates or kickbacks are not included in the "Total Cost".Comment
