    That's good info, Mike, but it makes me wonder even more, why is the connection to the charge controller so haphazard in comparison? The stranded wire bundle is just pushed into a square hole and held in place by a couple of flat metal sides that get squeezed together like a trash compactor when you turn a screw. That can't be making as good a connection as even a bad crimp job.

      Because crimps are often hidden, and the controller screws generally visible.
