If that battery was powering a medical oxygen machine and stopped in the middle of the night I would classify that as a potential life ending event.Comment

As it happens, I just decided 3 weeks ago to pull the trigger and buy this off grid cabin I first dropped in and began designing a solar system for in the beginning of winter. With the assistance of helpful people here. I am working furiously to get electricity to it, which is incredibly challenging for reasons I don't care to fully share with you. One solution is $129,000, and the other is $55,000 unless I can get another land owner to come in and it drops about $30,000. I am crossing a river and dealing with wetlands and the DEC and Army Corps. So I am going methodically, not that you apparently value a well thought out plan.
Please put me on your ignore list, so that when I post you don't see it - because it obviously is too tempting for you to resist taking swipes at people you don't like with an off topic rant. I happen to be planning an LFP battery bank, which is the opposite end of the spectrum from scrapped LA batteries. If I don't get electricity. Sorry the end of the story isn't written yet. Goodbye, Willy.Comment

Yes, collecting information and tweaking a design of an off-grid power system is a horrible idea, eh Willy? Why not just blow $30,000 on day one, buy the wrong equipment, and then figure out how to make it work? Is that what you would do, Willy?

If your intentions are to use other people's posts and quotes as the object of harassing someone on this forum then I please request you not to use anything I post for that action.Comment

I am looking at what you may call an "excellent battery bank" - an LFP bank. But I need an excellent bank for low sun hours. If I don't get an excellent bank, I'm going to be spending half or more of my time helping my solar system do its job, which is too much user intervention.

Harassment comes in many forms and can sometimes be ignored or not depending on the person.
Sarcasm is one of those forms which I use but try to make sure my posting is in the Comic Sans MS Font followed by aso that it is not misinterpreted.
As for how my posts are used, part of the results falls on me and I will need to make sure what I say in the future is not construed as harassment.Comment

You moron. Liar Liar pants on fire. Such a huge lie any child can detect it. If LL was on your ignore list, you could not respond to him you idiot. Really stupid. Those username and time/date stamps hold up in court. So here are your signs.

He said that he saw a message I wrote in something that someone replied to - which will show up.
The problem is he doesn't know what "ignore" means. If someone wants to ignore someone else, then they should ignore them. He did the same thing with a post of yours in the past week - and then justified it by saying he can't see your posts but saw something you wrote quoted in someone else's post. That isn't ignoring. Ignoring would be you see something written by someone you want to ignore and move on. Why bother putting someone on your ignore list in the first place, if you don't intend to ignore them?
I wish he would actually ignore people on his ignore list, because the posts in question are indeed harassment, as SunEagle has accurately suggested. I've already done it for quotes I saw of his in other people's posts after I put him on ignore. It isn't hard - it's a big boy's pants thing.Comment

Back to the discussion, any Battery that has a capacity that your willing to live with is perfectly acceptable no matter where you acquire it. Belittling you for using batteries you want to use is silly.Comment
