Looking for hot water shut off

Would like to find an automatic shutoff for 50 gal electric hot water heater when my 5 ton heat pump comes on.

The watts get too high for a 8,000k backup generator. The backup generator has 10,000k peak watts. The graph shows hot water heater coming on in blue over red (red is everything running in my house).

The volts are at top in red.

You can see hot water heater coming on again around 3:00 PM.

Before 9:00AM, you can see the heat pump comes on without the hot water several times. 6,000k is ok for the generator. But for some reason the hot water heater likes to come on when the Heat pump is running. My water heater has a circuit board on the top of it. There's leds on which element has burnt out. and other switches.

See the peak at about 9:45 AM this morning. 11,500k not good for generator.

This is a Ted 5000 system running.

    1) is this house normally connected to the grid, or completely off grid?

    2) which is your priority - hot water, or heat pump

I think a heavy duty pair of relays could do it, either or, I'll have to think on it for a day.

Could you post some comments about the TED 5000, I don't want to hijack this thread. They look useful.

Mike, I'm on grid. My priority is the heat pump, even though I live in Arizona. See the graph post, I've edited it, To make it clearer.

By the way have you seen the progress on the solar. Installer should have it done this week. http://enichesoftware.com Select Home projects/Solar.
