I'm interested in modifying a Paradise GL23112 solar powered workshop light that powers a 6v 10w florescent bulb and charges a 6v 4ah lead acid battery. I'd like to power led lights and recharge a better battery choice. As far as I can find the panel is a 1W panel. Can this be done?

1 watt panel? You can fart more power in a day than a 1 watt panel will generate in a week.

Likely not, as sunking said, a 1 watt panel is silly small. I think the littel panels used by VW for car shipping, can be had on ebay pretty cheap, and their 12V is a more standard power for many lights.
