Thinking of buying a system through SunEdison. It seems the only way to monitor the panels (output, etc.) is via their web site. So I assume whatever they install here must be connected to the internet so I can later access the site via a browser.
How do other systems compare (remote or local monitoring)?
I assume these systems would be able to tell me how well each panel is doing so as to indicate issues, etc....?
Seems one is at the mercy of their software for accuracy
Also I was trying to get performance guarantee information from them as in the quote it seemed only to apply to the lease agreement although I am buying the system outright. Their web site indicates performance guarantee for only lease as well but later the salesman sent me some info that said:
Warranty Information:
5-year limited warranty on materials and workmanship
10-year limited warranty for 90% peak power
25-year limited warranty for 80% peak power
The initial quote is confusing as it indicates "money back performance guarantee" and "free system monitoring" is "NOT included" for a Purchase agreement yet later they say it is (maybe bug in quoting template)?
I guess I can read the fine print in the final contract before I purchase ...
Thoughts/experiences?
