    need help choosing panels

i have '2' systems already installed on my homes - 1 system is 18 sunpower 327's and the other is 28 sunpower 335's - both have solaredge equipment- the smaller system has worked well for the 8 years its been installed, the 28panel system has worked 'ok' - the inverter crapped out after about 7 years, and the installer has replaced a few of the solaredge modules along the way..
now i am looking at panels for my main residence .. i received a quote today for Solar Panels: 50 REC DOM 460AA PURE-RX, Inverters: (50) Enphase IQ8X Micro-inverters .Racking: Iron Ridge n Critter Guards
i am in new york and was quoted 45k f(net) for the system, using the installers (power solutions) bank so that we can get the 15k in rebates from the fed. i would get the 5k in rebates from nystate to take off my taxes... so the bottom line it would cost me 40k - my monthly payment at 9.9pct interest would be around 350, and the salesman said i can pay off the system after the 1st day so to get the fed rebate... trump canceled rebates, but there is a work around...
so my question/s is this a good system, is their something better, and is it priced rite.

You need at least 4 more competitive quotes before making any decision......

i agree , i will get more quotes- in the proposal it also states that after 5 years, the system is mine free and clear... so if i am paying to the solar bank 350 bucks a month for 5 years, that equates to around 21k.... sound toooo good to be true... i must be missing something

so i got an interesting quote today from slomins the local oil company - they will install about 56 cw 460 panels, with emphase equipment for ZERO out of pocket to me- they will install, maintain, monitor the panels - my cost will be 10 cents per kwh that i use. i don't know what happens if i produce excess power... here on long island the kwh is i think 23cents or higher, i of course i will be respon for the 60c a day line charge, but this deal seems to good to be true- any comments??

A loan at 10% is a racket, you may own the panels after 5 years, but you are on the hook for 20 years with insane interest payments and an overall cost that is ludicrous....

Get at least 4 quotes for outright purchases, then talk to your bank if you need to get a loan for some of the amount.

As for your last post, I would never get solar without owning the installation. Becoming a captive customer for life with a company installing it "for free" and having stuff on your roof that does not belong to you is a recipe for disaster.
The internet is full of horror stories of all the things that can go wrong down the line when you do that, do some research....

thanks... i agree the only way to go is to buy and own them- i have '2' other homes with sunpower panels that i bought 8 and 10years ago... but being out of the market for some years , wanted to get some feedback...
