I noticed that my REC meter was dead about a week ago, also. Not sure how long it's been that way, but they're supposed to be coming by to replace it in the next few days. Apparently there's no big hurry since the generation data has been getting uploaded to the solaredge platform, so they'll be able to reconcile the new meter. They must have gotten a bad batch or something.
Yeah $800 hard to justify. If I didn't luck out getting it delivered (and installed cleanly too!) for free with the rest of my equipment, I definitely wouldn't have paid $800 for it, but I definitely would've DIY'd it after seeing what it can do. I think macaddict posted an eBay link for the consumption meter for like $50.

That's 3 for 3 failure between yourself, myself, and NJTurblePower. Insane. I lost out on 300kWh on my initial GATS reporting. GPE said I can include it as other customers of theirs also had this problem with the meter failing (!), but it's just 300kWh which I didn't feel was worth the potential complication in reporting.

I did DYI the consumption meter, wasn't too difficult. It is all in another thread.

In in terms of GATS, you don't need to submit a picture, they use the honor system and they allow up to 30% over -production of their estimate (you can see the monthly estimate for your system within your account). I'm guessing they reserve the right to request a picture.

Thank you. Good to know. I did submit a picture of the meter when I first reported. Maybe I'll add 300 for next month's reporting.

I reported it a few days ago and it's still listed under unprocessed generation. How long does it usually take to get processed and actually see a certificate in my account?

My critter guards were put on yesterday, just in time before the leaves start falling. GPE contracted the work out to Solar Pest Solutions. I was not home when it was put on but they said it was a 1.5hrs job.

NJturtlePower you might want to ask GPE to get you scheduled soon. My salesman said they usually wait a month before scheduling for it.

It is at the end of the following month. For example, the August production will be processed at the end of September because they let you report the August production until mid September. Personally, I just enter my production the last day of each month. Usually by then, my previous month's production has been processed and have 1 or 2 SRECs to sell. They send you email reminders when they will be doing the processing because they lock you out of the system during that process.

Funny you mention the guards, I had just added that to my email to Tim this morning.

Their email the other day about PTO just said SREC info is coming soon and about contact for in-home system demo if requested, but no mention of the critter guard install.

My sales guy said they wait a month before putting on the critter guard. Not sure why, my only guess is they want to monitor the system for a month, and to ease removal if they have to do any troubleshooting in case the system is not performing properly.

I just messed around a bit with pvoutput.org. I just manually exported the data and imported into pvoutput. I'll look into the auto reporting stuff later on.

                    It's super easy...

                    1) Login to your SolarEdge Portal - Click Admin Tab - Copy info from the API Key Section as shown....

                    SE1.jpg

                    2) Login to PVoutput - Click Settings up top - Scroll down to your Registered System at the bottom and Click Edit - Scroll down to the Auto Uploads section and Paste your SE info as shown...

                    PV1.jpg
NOTE: Be sure to select your appropriate options in the "Direction", "Temp" and "Voltage" tabs. Since you have the consumption meter yours will be 'Net" unlike mine which is Solar Only.

I had originally entered my 1st day manually and it seemed to overwrite it once I setup the Auto Upload. Already following your system

Pretty good weekend overall for my system with just over 102 kWh total, and yours about .3 kWh more at 103.... considering the on and off clouds we had.

Yes I plugged in my API key and it's been auto-uploading since 9/7. I haven't donated yet perhaps that's why it's not capture some of the data?

Just received first electric bill. $2.78 with 280kWh banked

Have you given changing your anniversary date any thought? GPE recommends resetting it for March. Mine is at current default of July/August per my PTO date. I know we only have 1 chance to change the date. I should find out if there's a deadline for that change.

We had our system walk through today, and also received the recommendation to change our true up anniversary to March. I understand the logic of that, but wouldn't it be similar if our anniversary month was September? The internet always suggests March, but I haven't seen any hard data.

Your best date will depend on your needs. Here energy is stored up all summer and
into the cold of NOV, then taken back all winter to keep the house warm. April 1 works,
                              Sept does not. Bruce Roe

When I was starting, someone shared a calculator with me that helped me figure out the best month to set as my anniversary date (sorry I can't remember who shared it with me). To pay it forward, I'm sharing here the calculator that I use: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

                                Instructions:
You put in your monthly usage and your expected production. The chart on the left will tell you the number of months that you will produce more than what you pull from the grid. The month with the most "months in the black" would be a good month to set as your anniversary month.

I also added two dials, one to account for the increased electric usage due to my EV (extra KWH added to my monthly average) and another one to account for weather related under/over production. With these two, I was able to show the worst case scenario to make sure I picked the right month.

FWIW, my anniversary month is March.
