For a system of this size, I am surprised that you are not going with a Solaredge HD inverter(s). They are about 99% efficient. 1-2% better than the Enphase option. 2x SE5000H-US inverter would be perfect for your case. It's a new product released couple months ago. My 5.5kw system just received PTO last week and I am seeing around 4.3kw production during peak time. Around 6.2kw of panels would match perfectly with each SE5000H - virtually no clipping.
2x Model 3s will eat through plenty of that. Assuming you can't charge at work, and you aren't home during the day to actually consume solar generation, and the new unfavorable TOU change, I say you might be under sizing your system.Comment

I currently considering a 26 x LG335 and 2 x SE6000H-US inverter (8.7 kW) system. Was leaning toward Enphase originally, but Solaredge seems to be more financially stable. Currently being quoted around $3.15 per watt, so would love to know what installer you are using!Comment

My installer, which did a great job on my system, is Sunline. They are in the San Diego area only though.
2x SE6000H? Overkill. 1x inverter is sufficient for that size of a system. If you are thinking that you'll add more panels later, then also defer the inverter.Comment

Just a note here, solaredge se5000h should be the same price as the enphase inverters even with extend 25 years of warranty. So don't let your installer increase the price. If you are looking for ev in the future, maybe you should wait a little bit for the solaredge inverters with ev charger thats coming in a few months. So you don't have to install another ev charger for your ev. It will probably be around $800- $1200 more expensive, so you can research more and do the math.Comment

Mike is right about the price. If anything, the Solaredge HD + 26 optimizers should cost less than 26x micro inverters. The Solaredge HD + EVSE option will be out in Oct - I called Solaredge 2 weeks ago to inquire about this myself.Comment
