Okay so I looked at the panels and they actually say "class C" on the label itself. Think this is going to be sufficient?

Learning a lot here. I found the racking system for literally about 40% of the price quoted on the Unirac and Ironridge websites.
Next install though (parents house) Im totally going with the trina panels that have a tigo on them. I cant believe how cheap they are.. if i had just seen them earlier. is there any reason why the site doesnt list some of the more popular retailers? You dont need to support one or another but it would be a huge help to us newbies.Comment

The class c rating on the panel is just one piece of the puzzle. To get to the class A requirement, the racking companies have certs that show they have tested the assembly with a variety of panels and can meet the fire rating under certain conditions. Those conditions might be different on a flat roof vs a pitched roof, for example. Make sure your 40% off stuff can provide the cert.CS6P-260P/SE3000 - http://tiny.cc/ed5ozxComment

As for racking, im looking at is Unirac Roofmount/Solarmount and Ironridge xr10/xr100. They are both listed under the CA calseia UL 1703 fire safety compliance database as Class A, with Unirac being coded for type 1,2 or 3 modules while Ironridge is either type 1, or type 1 and 2 depending on slope. If I go with Ironridge xr10 I can save a little money which is nice but now I have to deal with this "type 1 or 2" stuff... sigh.Comment

They are available in a lot of places. Look up Topoint 190W Mono and you should get a few places that have them. I ended up getting an unopened pallet from Ebay. With freight it cost $3020 or so. They are advertised as A grade so I have my fingers crossed. I actually found a bunch of stuff in Los Angeles, expecially B grade panels, which looked really nice to me but what do i know?
I went to unirac again and again its quoting me $1684 for my 21 panel array (the other array is 9 panels)... that works out to be $0.41/W and does not include accessories which is an additional $480... how did you get it down to such a low price? Am I doing it wrong? The exact quote, without accessories, is as follows (I hope this shows up correctly):Jeff, BSEE, 22.3KW, 45-240W w/M190, 46-260W w/M250Comment

Racking for a 21 panel system (with flashfeet) should cost on the order of $1300 or so with Ironridge from ressupply.comComment
