Depends on the forklift battery, but if it's an FLA battery that is the right voltage and has the capacity you need, then yes. In my estimation, forklift and industrial batteries are one of the better options if you look at cost per AH. The main downside is the weight as most are a one or more tons. I have one with terminals that are not welded (but bolted) so each cell can be removed and carried, then reassembled. That makes it a bit easier since it is 2200lbs otherwise
