Your house is beautiful and the panels look great, they almost disappear! I'm glad you enjoy your vacations here in San Diego.

Looks great, congrats. I have the same panel setup - 28 SP 335's - but with SMA inverters instead. Would be interesting to compare monthly averages.

Paris, approx what did you pay per kW and are figuring that with the rebates, credits you'll get back? I'm told to try and get for about $3.50.
        Thanks

$3.50???.. not on long island.. I paid a touch under 4.40 before rebates... keep in mind these are SP panels, which are way more then the lg's I was considering, and they are all black (more $$$)..

lg's would have cost me a tad over $4.00, BUT... at the end of the day after rebates , the SP's are costing ,me 3k, and that's with a 25year bumper/bumper on the entire install (panels,inverters/etc)... which imo was worth it... of course that's presuming that everyone is still in bizz at 25yrs, and that I'm still breathing and being a PITA to my wife+children...
while its a small sample, so far in the 10days we have been up and running we are averaging over 40 per day, and on the best day we just about touched 50... so far...so good

About how long did it take to get the NYSERDA approval? I am at 3-4 weeks of wait time so far. The upstate $.60/watt block was almost full when we applied and our installer thinks the state guys got swamped with applications.

hey.. I signed the contract, and gave a deposit on june 23rd... they wanted to do the install around sep 21, but I was away, so they came and installed the rails on oct 1st, and the panels on the 9th (it rained on oct 2-3-4)..

so it took them 3mos to get everything in order...

I got in just under the wire for the $.70/watt block over the summer, and seems like my NYSERDA approval didn't take more than 2-3 weeks.

sweet install, good call on the 335. How many panels? What was your cpw?

we put up 28 panels, which should cover us... since the house isn't used much from mid sept-mid may, we average about 15/17 kwh per day... ofcourse once mid may comes- thru mid sept and 14tons of ac kicks in, whatever we bank will be drained real quick,,,

our cost b4 rebates was $4.40, and the diff between the LG's and the SP's after rebates was$3k, but with a 25yr bumper/bumper warr, I thought it was a no brainer... plus I honestly think that the SP's produce better then other panels... I know that guys on this site with way (WAY) more knowledge disagree with that assessment, but after viewing other setups in my area and their production, i'm convinced its true..

as to the price, I probably could have nickel and dime'd the installer , or went elsewhere, but the guys I used are pro's, and I was quite happy with their previous install at my sons house.. so I closed my eyes and signed the contract...
