no other rebates. Unless you are in Riverside County, they just start a $1500 solar rebate for Riverside County at moment with limited allocation.Comment

"NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS:
Update: November 18, 2014
RPU has expended all currently budgeted rebate funds and the Residential Photovoltaic (PV) Rebate Program is now closed for fiscal year 2014-15.
The PV Rebate program will re-open next year on July 1, 2015.
Retroactive rebates are not available.
Applicants must qualify for fiscal year 2015-16 PV rebate program and receive a rebate reservation approval when the program reopens. All systems must be built after July 1, 2015.
We thank you for your continued interest in RPU’s residential solar rebate program. With your support, RPU has exceeded 11 megawatts of locally generated clean solar energy.
In accordance with our published solar rebate guidelines, the program is limited to funds available on a first-come-first served basis."Comment

Bob, how many kwh were you using on average before you went solar? A monthly average or a yearly number would do
I'm currently using, on average, 895kwh a month.---

About 11k annually.. This system is designed to generate just under that.

Here is a rough idea on my consumtion, vs. projected generation.

You can see I'm slightly overproducing ( this far) for Jan. Once spring comes around, I should build enough credits to offset my summer A/C bill....

OK, so we are using about the same.
I called your guy and he is coming down tomorrow to inspect the house/roof.
Thank you so much, Bob.---

Their a great company who understand how to install a efficient solar system.
They are coming back out before summer hits, to see what cost effective improvements can be made to my Air Conditioning systems...
I should be all set for the next 20 years at that point..Comment

Bob - sorry, can't PM yet...but curious what your production was on a day like today (overcast all day).Comment

Crappy!!! Didnt see the sun... all day.
I check in on this guy from time to time. He's a few miles away... same basic system, but he has 2 more panels than me... we both face south..

He never makes any power...Comment

You got an identical system right next door.
Some systems perform less or more because of tilt angle and shade. For example the system above. Both Summer and Winter outputs were low. The single higest output in June were 39kWh which is considerablly low for its size. The graph did not show a perfect bell shade. You know the solar system is covering with shadow. Trust me, most the solars produce just about same output regardless of brand name of panels. It has to do with shading..... tilt angle will give you little more or less during Summer/Winter. Sunpower or Canadian solar will be about the same.
This is a good reference I used: CS 28 X 255W facing South in Chino Hills. I'm sure you can find few good ones at your area.

On the enphaseenergy website, is there a way to sort by the folks that installed the arrays?---

PVOutput.org gives owners the ability to include all that data in a searchable way, although it takes a little practice to get good at finding what you want.CS6P-260P/SE3000 - http://tiny.cc/ed5ozxComment

Hey Bob, the company you went with that I am considering said I should not tilt my panels so I don't get wind under them that will fatigue the racks and possibly cause roof leaks. Do you (or anyone who wants to weigh in) think that the difference in tilt to no tilt is worth that risk?

I don't think enphase makes available all of the systems the get installed, with installer data. I really don't trust that what they show there is representative... I would guess that they make sure only the best performing and most reliable systems appear as a public site.
PVOutput.org gives owners the ability to include all that data in a searchable way, although it takes a little practice to get good at finding what you want.
Enphase solar installer locator is the most effective tool to find the nearest installers near you in USA with out facing any difficulty.
PVOutput.org is another good sources if you do find the system at your area. The chances are higher wth Enphase, you likely find a similar system in your area.Comment
