Hi all, we are having a new house built in Western NC. We currently live near Raleigh NC; our house has an 18-panel 5.58kW system and a Tesla 2 Powerwall. The new house will have a 24-panel 9.7kW array and two Fortress eVault Max batteries. I've been a Duke Energy customer for the duration of our current system, and they are the grid provider in Western NC.
Admittedly I am not a fan of Duke Energy.
The EnergyWise program allows Duke to pull electricity from the homeowner's batteries up to 36 time/year in exchange for monthly bill credit. We are concerned that these pulls would occur during rare times we would most be in need of storage capacity: before major storms, during outages, etc.
Does anyone have experience--good or bad--with the EnergyWise program?

EnergyWise® Home is a simple way to help your community by letting Duke Energy Progress more effectively manage energy on the electric grid. By enrolling your qualifying battery storage system in this program, you agree to let us adjust your battery control operating settings and utilize electricity stored on your battery between 30-36 times per year.
You’ll still maintain stored energy for your use at home. Plus you will receive a monthly bill credit.
Monthly bill credits for participating
Provide Duke Energy Progress the ability to charge, discharge and adjust other battery parameters and store energy
Between 30-36 battery control events per year
Winter Season: November - March: Up to 18 times
Summer Season: April - October: Up to 18 times
May opt out of up to four events each year
Battery won’t be discharged below a 20% state of charge
