  • Midnite Solar Classic 250 CP model question?

There's a recent flood of these on ebay for around $300, has anyone had any experience with the CP model? I currently have a BATRIUM BMS so I don't think I will need the WIZBANG Jr or other stuff. I will have 4k watt of solar panels(39.82 VOC, 9.78 ISC panel), and 10kwh of battery storage. Can anyone shed some light on this model? thanks

This is the true info from the Mfg. All the fleabay sites do is add some cost for their trouble.

    begin fwd message:

The Classic 250-CP is a Standard Classic that was a custom order.

They DO NOT have multiple MNGP slots so they can not be used in Follow me.
They DO NOT have AUX 1 or 2 terminals so they can't be used with a WBJR or any AUX functions.
THey do not have ARC Fault protection.
MNGP can not be programed for Voice. (there is no speaker installed in these MNGP)
None of these features can be added back to this board.

They DO HAVE an Ethernet Port so they can be used with MM2 and the Local App.
They can be updated normally using our normal Firmware via USB
    They have Ground Fault Protection
    BTS input jack is functioning

Most of them still are under warranty and will carry that warranty until they reach the 5 year mark.

Price on this item is $250.00 each. First come first served.

    Please email sales@midnitesolar.com to order.

Thanks @Mike90250 for the info. Do you recommend the CP model? Any other MPPT charger you would recommend within the $200-$400 range for a 48v system?

I bought one of the -CP to use as a spare. I trust them that much, and it's such a deal. it still has the ethernet, so programming changes via their Local App would still work.
