OK, too much blather, with no backup, Sadly for Vinny, my choices are to lock the thread, or purge all the meaningless "content removed" from solarfreak.

Vinny, you can start a new thread, and solarfreak can too, if he wants to redeem himself, but there's got to be some pic's to back it up.

Such is the mess of thread drift

Mike like I said all it takes is a couple of pictures and some specs. Don't hold your breath waiting for them.

Stop and think Mike; A 15Kw stand alone battery system built 5, 10, 15, or 20 years ago?

Let's see 10 years ago in California:

Electricity was less than 10-cents per Kwh, and panel prices were around $5/watt.

There were no charge controllers even on the drawing boards that could be used for such a beast. Still none exist today.

6000 acre sub division. That is larger than the city I live in with hundreds of sub divisions and Frisco TX is no dump like Watts CA.

This guy put the rope around his neck, not me. I just made it a short rope and pulled the trigger on the trap door. He is a liar, got caught, and called out for it.

That's a cheap shot. You calling me a liar?
I haven't lied about anything. Maybe not fully understood, but definitely not a liar.
Seems more to me moderators are just out to discredit everyone that becomes a member to this forum.

My only question is why the secrecy. if your installations are legit then why not show them off. If you accomplished this then you deserve credit for what you have done. If it does not exist or is for illegal purposes then I understand the reluctance to divulge the proof. And in that case have a nice day nice meeting you!

Just post a simple picture, or a newspaper clipping, I'm sure you should have easy access to some....

I know I would like to see an old system and the way they were built compared to today's standards.

A tall tale told to further ones own agenda or promote oneself without basis or proof.

I have to go with Dereck on this one.
If this was a "green" and I don't mean the legal type there would have been media coverage of this.
So this is either a scam or an installation for illegal purposes.
    The parameters suggest nothing else.

[QUOTE=Sunking;35129]Mike Ok fair enough. Why a developer would not want to provide details and location on a Master Planned 6000 acre (10 square miles) development is OK by me. Not my money or fairytale. Riddle me this:
    • Q1.What did solar panels cost per watt 5, 10, or 20 years ago?
    • Q2 What did retail residential electricity prices cost 5, 10, 20 years ago?
    • Q3 Did the commercial market offer any products for such a massive system exist 5, 10, or 20 years ago particularly charge controllers and solid state devices for 300 + amp systems @ 48 volts.
    • Q4 Where were all the media articles such as newspapers, engineering journals, TV, and RE advocates for such a spectacular engineering feat never documented to this date for such a monster system project.

Mike you know this is a fairytale. You are an engineer and know it. It is some kid sitting at home or Occupy Wall Street protest smoking a bong without a clue day dreaming about Utopia.

So here is the deal Mike, I RESIGN MEMBERSHIP if you let this kid go unchallenged. I stake my reputation he is a liar and cannot provide proof. All he has to do is prove it with pictures and specifications. (Don't hold your breath waiting for proof) Such a multi-million dollar project would be worthy of promotion in all media don

it's easy to take a screen shot with google maps and blur out identifying labels.

What Tree Hugger or Promoter would not want to go live or advertise a 6000 acre Master Planned Community without ads?

Don’t Bogart that joint my friend, pass it over here.

    Agreed on the interesting part.
Why the POCO wouldn't run grid there is beyond me unless the lot sizes are 1-2K acres each
