that means 2 trojans in series is 236 LB.s, seems pretty right to me.
Time for you to go to the eye doctor The T-105's weigh 67 pounds each and two of them weigh 134 pounds. You gave the weight of the L-16 which is a higher capacity battery.

And don't let the AGM batteries creep in, they are another creature altogether - easily 2x the cost for the same capacity but some other features. ( re: 27-AGM you posted )

Here's my new battery bank, only took 5 days to get it half way set up.
batteries http://tinyurl.com/LMR-NiFe 1.25V per jug, x 825ah ea = 48V @ 825ah All in series, no parallel batteries. (except my old bank in the corner box, which I've not cut over from yet).

The problem I'm having with public opinion on the 27-agm is that Trojan is pushing this battery as well as the 22 and the 24 on to solar sales distributors. Why are they doing this? Manufacturing cost? I don't know to much about AGM. Shops and distributors are pushing it hard as a deep cycle battery, I've had some people tell me it's no different than an industrial battery for diesel applications.

Mike when you need to move the battery bank, do you need a pallet jack?

Those batteries are supposed to be good for 50+ years, they move one at a time. I won't be moving them.
