It is not that bad, it is only 55watts, 8 hours is about 440 watt hours. if you only need power for this laptop, I will just get a 250 watts panel and a cheap charge controller and a cheap 12 volt inverter about 150 watt or 300 watts plus 1 12volt 200 amps deep cycle battery.

If you already have the AC adapter for the laptop, going with an inexpensive inverter may be best. But you will get better efficiency by buying a 12-18 volt DC input car/airplane power brick for the computer. That will also be usable when you are away from your solar system.

Yikes, That is all power needed from batteries, no sharing from direct solar contribution.

You will need to size a system to harvest and store 2x (twice) as much as you plan to consume. All the operating losses are going to add up in a bad way on you.
