Sorry for the confusion. You can treat each of your 48 volt banks as a "battery" so you would only have 2 "batteries" wired in parallel. That would make it a little simpler to wire them up, although I am not sure what that selector switch is used in your battery circuit.
I am not a fan of soldiered wire connectors since IMO they can weaken, break or increase resistance in the circuit path. A properly compressed connector would make a better termination.
