Consumer Awareness is the Greatest Challenge to Solar Energy

Consumers are optimistic about solar energy despite having some serious misconceptions about the solar industry. In an attempt to better understand global consumers' outlook on solar power, the survey interviewed 1000 people from countries with high potential growth in solar energy. The chosen nations were China, Japan, India and the United States. The results can be separated into four sections: cost of solar energy, solar job prospects, rate of solar adoption and global solar leaders. Slightly less than half of the respondents answered that solar energy growth would create jobs while exactly a quarter said that it would decrease employment. In both China and India consumers express concerns that the adoption of solar power is "too slow" in their nation. Each country's respondents are convinced that their country leads the world in solar panel installations. Americans say the U.S. has installed the most solar panels. Consumers clearly believe that solar power has an important role to play in supplying global energy needs. This support is a good sign as we are in a pivotal point for global energy supply.

That is because the general public is easily duped by propaganda from the manufactures and government, especially US citizens because we are poorly educated. Once the public realizes solar cannot compete or ever replace conventional generation methods the party is over. The cost are just way too great, and never achieve the goal. Once government subsidies are ended and forcing utilities to pay retail prices for RE energy the gig is up. FWIW those subsidies are already coming to an end. That is why solar companies value has crashed some 90% or more, or already vanished. Governments simply cannot pick winner and looser. The buying public at large will have no part of that and decide where there money goes. Otherwise your Government goes bankrupt and over thrown like Greece, Spain , soon Italy, and quite possible the USA.

Consumer driven demand for the use of renewable energy in India

Consumer driven demand for the use of renewable energy is picking up its space. As demand for energy grows rapidly, shortage of conventional fuel i.e. coal and other fossil fuels in the country is making consumers think more seriously about sourcing their energy from renewable sources like wind, solar and biomass. As a result of this ever increasing demand for energy and India’s in house National Action Plan on Climate change, the government of India is seriously looking to encourage renewable energy sector at every possible level of the economy. Read more about consumer driven demand for the renewable energy in India.
