Instead it is throwing money into a pit never to be seen again and 80% of it is going to foreign companies mainly China. Most of the remaining 20% is going to very short term labor where most of that work force is undocumented contract labor wages that has no tax witheld.

To add insult to injury, the electricity generated by solar PV is not taxed which is double jeopardy because not only is the energy produced by RE not taxed, it also takes away that much energy from conventional generators which was taxed and now lost.

What really hacks me off, and it should bother all of you; is the people installing RE systems can afford it without government free money. The money comes from all of you who cannot afford it in the way of higher electric bills and local/state/federal taxes.

hahaha.... good point sunking... but we all know, you don't get wealthy for making poor investing decisiosn

people nickle and dime all the time but the real value is the long term return and such. im sure for those who have accumulated wealth they didn't get there by making bad decisions

Thank you Evergreen from Sun Electronics

I used to think there was an angel or at least some relative of mine working at Evergreen I was unaware of thatreally loved us because we were constantly getting calls from them with fantastic offers. As a result we had opportunites no other solar company had from this manufacturer. They taught us how to make great deals with manufacturers from all over the world. We bought over 200 containers of Grade B modules from them over theyears until finally the Germans realized their real value and bought them all up.

The comment from the manufacturer in CHina could not be further from the truth when he complains about their Australian market being ruined by B grade modules, described as junk basically. B Grade modules come with all the same light tower specs, 25 year warranty, and certifications as A Grade, I know I bought them for for almost 12 years from Evergreen and others and note of them have ever come back. You will find every manufacturer in the world who sells B and even C and D panels out the back door saying they are all cheap chinese crap (even if they didn't come from China) because they can't get people to buy their Grade A modules right now. In fact you can now buy Grade A modules at $1.15 a watt with UL in any quantity(if you know where to look) because they can't compete with identical modules with nothing worse than cosmetics for less than half that price. Thats right .50/watt.

The DIY's and the off grid market gets to enjoy the times of their lives and the grid connects are left out because of ridiculous over-regulation. As for the DIY who thought Evergreen was so great to sell cells so people could build their own modules, the opportunity to DIY solar panels is better than ever because you can now buy laminates, modules without frames and/or Jboxes cheaper than it would cost you to build the modules from sctach as you were doing before.
