I'd rather post on something positive, but i am wondering if anyone else on this forum has heard about or personally had any experiences with the company known as "Sola Conduit" in San Antonio, TX (https://solarconduit.com/shop/)? I ordered a pump from them [actually it appears to be run by one person: Ken Solis (http://www.facebook.com/kenpsolis?fref=ts)] and although my Paypal payment was promptly charged and accepted, Ken did not send me a receipt, or anything. When i contacted him, he said it was back-ordered but i never heard from him again, and he stopped returning e-mails and never returns calls (an answering service always answers Solar Conduit's phone). I complained to PayPal, local Better Business Bureau in Texas, and anyone else i could think of, with no luck. So, i thought i'd ask around in the Solar Community. Does anyone know anything about this company? (Needless to say, i suggest avoiding this company if you need to order anything online) Also, any suggestions for how i can get my $1,082 back from Solar Conduit? Thanks!

You can check http://www.ripoffreport.com/ see if there are other complaints - I tried but it wasn't up at the time.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] -
Thanks! There were no reports for the Solar Conduit company that ripped me off on that site, so i registered and filed my report. It's an interesting site, and FYI, i stumbled upon a fascinating article about ripoffreport.com... It's a long article, but tells an interesting story about the guy who runs the ripoffreport site and the issues around his ethics too! http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2007-...f-report/full/You can check http://www.ripoffreport.com/ see if there are other complaints - I tried but it wasn't up at the time.Comment

I deal with Ebay alot, and from what I hear Paypal will always side with the buyer. Maybe you should send them a followup email to see what's up.Comment

Maybe you should take a trip to San Anton and have a face to face with Ken.I'd rather post on something positive, but i am wondering if anyone else on this forum has heard about or personally had any experiences with the company known as "Sola Conduit" in San Antonio, TX (https://solarconduit.com/shop/)? I hate to admit it, but I have also been scammed by SolarConduit.com. Nice website, but my money appears to be gone. It is impossible to contact anyone from this company. Emails bounce (sales@solarconduit.com and info@solarconduit.com). And phone calls (888-388-8808) go to an answering service where they take a message, but there are never any call backs. Two times when I called, they told me that they would have someone call me, but they did not even take my number. What a joke.
I used PayPal for my transaction, and have filed a dispute through them. PayPal claims to protect you, so this should be interesting. Their reply says it may take 30 days to settle the dispute.Comment

Solarconduit.com comes up every time I do a search for anything solar related. Beware, do not do send these guys any money. This company is a scam.Comment

Actually, this is not totally ridiculous. When you call an 800 (8xx) number they get to see your originating number even if you are blocking Caller ID. But the fact that they do not ask what number you want to be called back at is still a bad sign.SunnyBoy 3000 US, 18 BP Solar 175B panels.Comment

Yep, I just hope that PayPal comes through for me.
I just placed an order with another company. I had to call them and talk to them before I placed the order. What is it they say: Once burned, twice shy?
I wonder if the originator of this thread ever got his money back.Comment
