Pretty much on target, the sign ate up the wind budget. Tilt angle escapes me at the moment without looking at the design documents. Been too long ago. But if my memory serves me correctly it is optimized for Grid Tied so it would be Latitude. Latitude at the site location is 33.7 degrees in Denison TX.The sign at the top must have really messed with the final design. I suppose that the three branches without panels equated to the wind load that was calculated on the vertical sign. It appears that the panels are fairly low tilt which would slice the wind versus the upright sign which catches the wind.MSEE, PEComment

Not exactly sure what you are asking here. Yes it was expensive, but the cosmetics was very important to the customer. The customer wanted an organic feel to it. Just look at the building being natural stone. The Sun Flower Tree, that is what we call it, was designed for further expansion that we added without the customer consent. They did not have a problem with it. I was joking when I said we gave it away.
I thank God when every project is over. It means I get paid. All in all this was an easy project.
That is a $10,000 question. We don't give trade secrets away.
I will give hints here and there, but no specific details. Only thing you get for free here is the concept. Not trying to be a Jerk, but the question crosses the line of free and fee. You just stepped over on the Fee side of the line.
