Solar Panel Forun Is Lost

It is no secret I moderated on another solar panel forum. I have resigned there and given up. As you know it has been the target of SPAM ATTACKS over the last couple of months. Right now 3 SPAM robots are logged in and posting. I will not stop them anymore.

The owner will not sell the site, police it, or seems to even care. The Admin IndiannaSolar resigned sometime ago, and I resigned today. Funny thing is the owner will never disable our privileges. At least he has not yet. Heck he does not even know he has over 5000 SPAM ATTACK POST. I emailed him yesterday at his office and he will not even respond.

Just thought I would let you know Okie Dokie you were right all along. The site is lost, and the owner will not sale. He paid $50K for the POS and all I will offer him is $500 and it is not even worth that much today.

Dang, it's always a pain when the bad guys win, and the owners don't even care. I'm sorry for all our losses.

I just put my last goodbye up on that site . Sad to see it degenerate into the shambles it is now.

At the moment the site is clean of spam, I have asked the ADMIN if he really intends to keep on top of the spam and get it functional again.. Mabe he will or as I asked "is the cleanup just a flash in the pan"??

Don't hold your breath John. Robert has known about the problem for months. He only pops in every 4 or 5 days to clean up the mess. I was doing it for a while but just gave up. What really sucks is it can be stopped by just turning on a couple of security features. I cannot do that because I do not have Admin privileges, only moderator.

I basically quit stopping the SPAM attacks because if the owner does not care, why should I?

At the moment im giving him the benefit of the doubt. It will be proof of commitment or otherwise after a few days.

I finally gave to give up on him too. Too much spam that the "new post" search was worthless. Couldn't see the real threads through all the spam.

Last I looked he had less than 20 posts so it really didn't matter when he was on last as it wasn't often enough.
