    HelioPeak, IOS app for pvoutput

I don’t want this to come across as too much promotion, that’s not my intention, but since quite a few people have been struggling with PVOutput Pro (and other apps) no longer working, I wanted to share something that might help. I ran into the same issue myself and noticed there were basically no iOS apps left in the App Store to view PVOutput data. So I built one for my own use and convinced that a lot of HA users are using pvoutput as well.

The app now covers most of the features with a more modern interface.

More info is at hellopeak app or directly in the Appstore

If anyone has questions, feedback, or feature ideas, let me know!

I ran into the same problem after PVOutput Pro stopped being useful, so I can understand why someone would build a replacement rather than keep waiting for an old app to come back. The main thing I’d look for is reliable PVOutput API support and whether the app continues working when PVOutput changes something on their side.

For anyone still using Home Assistant with PVOutput, it’s also worth checking whether the data is already being pulled into HA, since that gives you another way to display the information without depending entirely on a dedicated iOS app. That said, having a simple native viewer is definitely more convenient when you just want to check your system from an iPhone.

I’d be interested in seeing how the app handles historical production data, multiple systems, and API limits. Those are the things that would make a replacement genuinely useful rather than just giving the same data a nicer interface.

        You are completely correct:
        - the app takes the (free user) API limit into account and is loading historical data based on chunks, it can take some hours to load everything after initial installation to avoid hitting the API limits (with paying pvoutput account it is loaded directly)
        - the app is actively being developed, so normally future pvoutput changes should be no issue, but no hard guarantees ofcourse
        - multiple systems is foreseen in the app (note: 1 system for free, multiple systems needs to be unlocked by one-time purchase)
        - I cannot post a link here to the website, but search for "HelioPeak" in your favorite search engine and you'll find the site (hint, something with .app at the end of the url.

There is a lot of information and background available on the site, I'm convinced that most of your questions are answered there.
Have a look at the release notes page as well, more detailed info there as well. Give it a try, the version for one solarsystem is completely free!
