    roof leaking because of solar

It is possible for solar panels to cause a roof leak, although it is relatively rare. When solar panels are installed on a roof, the roof must be penetrated to secure the panels in place. This creates a potential pathway for water to enter the roof if the installation is not done correctly. If you are experiencing a roof leak that you suspect may be caused by your solar panels, it is important to have the issue diagnosed and repaired by a qualified professional. The first step would be to identify the source of the leak, which may require removing some of the solar panels to inspect the area where the roof was penetrated during installation. Once the source of the leak is identified, it can be repaired by sealing the area around the penetration with an appropriate sealant or flashing. If the damage is more extensive, you may need to have the entire roof repaired or replaced Roofing Repairs. If you believe that the solar panel installation was not done correctly, you may need to contact the company or contractor that installed the panels to have them address the issue. It's important to work with a reputable and experienced contractor when installing solar panels to ensure that the job is done correctly and to avoid potential issues like roof leaks.

Yes If the racking lugs are not sealed then it is possible for the roof to leak. If you can access the attic then take pictures for both your insurance company and the installer. Good luck

Does this post have anything to do with your 01/31/23 post about how your insurance co. is making you replace an old roof ?
How did that ever resolve ?

Sometimes it's still hard to trace the breach point if the water runs down the roof sheathing and enters the attic through the edge of the sheathing.
