    Can I use earth cable?

    Hi

Can I use this earth cable to connect my solar panel to the charge controller?

It is much cheaper than the proper solar cable. I will bury the cable under the ground in a cable duck pipe so it won't be exposed to the sun.

Sorry, couldn't view the cable because of a pop up cookie agreement over it.

Most solar panel cable is 10 gauge, UV & abrasion resistant for outdoor use. If you have another cable that meets the exposure ratings it will experience AND is of adequate gauge to not cause too much loss or dangerous overload, it should be OK.

Cable going underground has a different water resistance than above ground cable (conduit / duct is assumed to be 100% wet location)
