Hi thezenvan, its not recommended you do either. Way back in the old days we had an installer who thought it was ok to walk on installed panels as it seemed fine, he is no longer with us. Many years after the install he did many of those panels developed micro cracks and snail trials. The moral of the story dont walk or sit on your panels, cheers
A bit off topic but maybe of some practical value, I've watched homes in my HOA being tented for termites, maybe 20 times in 12 years or so. A couple of times, those homes have had arrays on the roof. On two occasions, I observed workers attempting to climb on the array to place the tent material. One of those times, even though not my home, I hollered at the worker as he was about to climb onto the array. The second time, A worker was already on the array and got off after being told.
Further to all that, I had my house tented 3 yrs. ago and cautioned the workers through their supervisor that climbing on a solar array can be harmful to the array and dangerous for personnel. The worker's response to me was that they do it all the time and my cautions were the first they've heard of it.
Take it FWIW.
