The general feeling here, is that residential wind is usually a loser. But small hydro can do very
well when available. Bruce Roe -

"" The power utility folks are the experts, some of them do exhaustive studies for five years or more before they decide on where to invest, they take a lot of things into consideration, existing emission laws, and cost of every kind including maintenance. We don't see power companies investing in wind power.... why is that? The answer... "it likely doesn't provide a return on investment". You see, that's the way you keep a company from going bankrupt, they only stay in the game if they make a profit. ""

Yes, there are a couple
http://scoraigwind.co.uk http://www.scoraigwind.com/ both by Hugh Piggott. Nothing better than him for honest wind
Fieldlines & Utterpower are also some resources, but a lot more DIY (you need a machine shop in your back 40 to build the stuff)

Im not being lazy, its just much better to get a reference from people that have "been there done that" than take shots in the dark, there's so much useless stuff online out there.Last edited by zoran; 12-16-2017, 04:03 PM.Comment
