Bill Nye was a big part of my childhood, I absolutely loved his show. I'm glad to see him still on the scene and loudly advocating for renewables. This year he's paired up and. endorsing Rayton Solar. Rayton Solar boasts they can manufacture a cheaper, higher performing solar panel using a particle accelerator to make the cuts. Apparently there is zero, or at least nominal, waste. Sounds good right?
I guess I've always "trusted" Bill Nye but when a corporation gets involved I become leery. My gut tells me I can still trust him. My question now is, is how likely is this method of production to become the standard? Is this new method something to get excited about? If the marketing claims are true we can assume a steeper reduction in the cost of panels in the coming years?
