    Thought about that and it was tempting but would be harder to calibrate the sensors. Cable length and other stuff like sensor shape cause other problems. Sensor placement is also a consideration. One thing the IR thermometer readings suggest so far is that the temp. of a panel is far from uniform, to the point where even adjacent cells vary by as much as 2-3 deg. F., or sometimes not at all. This raises questions about sensor location and indeed what is a true representative temp. This pattern seems to be for all 16 panels (4 X 4 landscape). In general, temps. at the top row of the array are lower than the lower 3, those lower row temps. being similar to one another for ave. temp., pretty much independent of wind direction. Like I wrote, more questions than answers at this time.
