Thats because the only Hydrogen supply stations are in California. The rest of the states hasn't install them yet.

Great idea. I would be interested in having one but it will cost billions to install the infrastructure of fueling stations and who wants to pay for that.

The problem with hydrogen is the same as it has always has been and always will be. Hydrogen is not a fuel source. Hydrogen is the most abundant element on earth, but is not in a natural gas form, thus has to be converted from a source fuel. Today the most efficient way is to derive it from Natural Gas. So by the time you get the hydrogen from the well to the wheel you loose 90% of the energy.

It all depends on how you count it.
It looks like your "on" is limiting you to the hydrosphere and atmosphere, so the dominant component is H₂O. The atmosphere has a negligible contribution to that.
And if you look at the number of atoms, then hydrogen is more abundant than oxygen (roughly a factor of two ). But if you go by mass, oxygen wins hands down.

Definitely a thought provoking statement, since the most common discussions look only at the composition of the atmosphere and the composition of the crust and below.
As far as biomass goes, the prevalence of water biases that in favor of hydrogen and oxygen too. Carbon just does not make it.

And if Hyundai follows the model of some of the US makers' deployment of leading edge low emission vehicles, you may find that at the end of the lease period they decide to take them back and crush them rather than giving you the opportunity to buy them.

It all depends on how you count it.

Correct it does depend on how you want to spin it. From a Universe POV Hydrogen is the clear winner at around 72 to 74%, Helium at 24 to 25%, and Oxygen a very distant 3rd at less than 1%.
