Depends if that is 36 VOC or VMP. A 36 VOC panel would have a working voltage in the 27 to 28V range and would not be high enough for a 24V system. All the Renesola panels I founnd were ~36VOC.

Voc / vmp
The VOC is 37.5 v and the VMP is 30.1 v. So it sounds like I have to go with a MPPT controller with a max 100 vdc input for the panel series at 72 vdc to controller charge at 12 vdc with the 3- 12 vdc batteries parallel?
So as advised earlier I should go with a morningstar mppt controller at 12 v to make it work? In the end, would you call this a good system or a cobbled mess?
