WANTED; Device for automatic switching on loads when enough solar is being generated

Hi All.
This is my first post here, so here goes.

We've had our 2.6KW Solar PV for 12 months now and have been looking for a device that will automatically switch on/off a household load, ie; 2KW immersion heater, when there's enough power being generated.
Might anyone have found anything like this?
I'd like to hear from you.

If you have a grid tied system would just be a waste of money to do that as it serves no purpose.

With respect, if the system is generating 4Kw and putting most of it back to the grid, I might as well use it FOR FREE. I still get paid the feed in tariff of 45.4p irrespective of how I use it first.

Most feed-in tariffs are based on what you feed in rather than what you generate. Are you sure that you get paid either way? If so, you are very fortunate and you should be looking for ways to use it locally.

Yes FIT is paid for what's generated, irrespective of what's put back, in fact on top of that I get an extra 3.2p for 50% of what is generated in the assumption that the 50% is being put back into the grid.

Hi all you need is to mount the unit next to your consumer unit. then you clip a ct around your incoming meter tails. you also need a twin socket next to you immersion controller.
you then have to pull out the cable for your immersion heater from your consumer unit and take it to the immersion controller. I am selling these for £180. Let me know if you are interested.
These are fully proportional controllers and will heat your water using 200 watts up to 3kw of spare solar power. It will automatically switch off if someone switches a kettle on or any other load in your house, so you will never import from the grid.
