Sunny Boy still has a solution that works with rapid shutdown. Shame that they had to drop that feature-I really would like it to go along with their Optimizers.

Thanks for the detail on why they dropped it-clarifies that the door will remain shut on that feature in the future for at least this generation of inverters.

I said "AUTOMATIC" rapid shutdown. rapid shutdown is easy to deal with, but the new Automatic rapid shutdown is much less compatible with the secure power feature.

Code does not require the inverter automatically perform the shutdown function - they could have provided a switch for this. It's disappointing they abandoned this feature but they probably want to focus on actual battery integration instead of confusing people with something that operated only under the sun.

Solaredge chose to meet the commercial and residential 2017 rapid shutdown changes with their automatic shutdown solution.

Is it worth waiting the HD Wave to become available? For some reason I thought the 7600 was available.

How long do you think the wait is going to be?

In the unscientific data set of the forum, you might be better off with the 7600A-US. I had wanted the H too, but am thankful it wasn't available and I've dodged some of the problems others have seen on the new model.

What are those problems? I am also wanting a 7600 HD inverter for my new system.
