    Thought 1: Polymer cells are an untested technology such that simply increasing the efficiency may not make them practical.
    Note that increasing the efficiency 38% (e.g. from 10% to 13.8%) still would not get then in the same league as crystalline silicon (17%+).
    Now it if increased the efficiency TO 38% we would really have something.

    Thought 2: It is often a long road from a lab scale to a production scale process.
