Thanks for the help today Butch! -
well to keep it all fair then wholesalesolar price on S280 is $160
and cable $25 per module
you will want an envoy at ~$500Leave a comment:

for comparison-- I understand P400 optimizers are about $71 each..., and then I would need t buy SE7600.. not much price difference, but optimizers are more efficient (no shading).. tks
I was commenting on your statement about being able to add a switch to run the home on solar without the grid and how inaccurate that is.
You keep calling them edge optimizers. The company name is SolarEdge and they are just optimizers or SolarEdge optimizers.
Enphase micro inverters run about $130 to $150 each. but you also have an expensive cable that is required so add another $20 eachLeave a comment:

Plus installation and the finger point hassle between vendor and installer if things go wrong.Leave a comment:

thanks.. last question and I'm done... about how much does a SE7600A retail for?Leave a comment:

SolarEdge equipment has a higher efficiency than almost all other inverters.Production quoted for my roof (east facing only):
21 - E20 - 327 w/SolarEdge = 10,140 kwh/yr or 845 kwh mo
21 - E20 - 327-C-AC = 9,665 kwh/yr or 805 kwh mo
generally speaking, why is efficiency better for SolarEdge Optimizers? (if correct). I don't know which specific model SolarEdge optimizer it is...Leave a comment:

This is what I have been repeatedly told as well. I pointed out that it doesn't make much since. if they are just going to do full inverter trade ins then why not allow other inverters, particularly the SE6000 and just give a little less credit.
The upgrade path from the base 7600 to Storedge isn't clear. For now, SolarEdge offers a $608 credit toward the purchase of a Storedge inverter when trading in a 7600A base model.

No good reply other than they hope to have the more direct upgrade path soon with DC disconnect box swaps.Leave a comment:

Yes the SE7600 costs more. A whole $200 more.got it, thanks Butch.. appreciate the correction on terminology. Back to the "switch," sounds like it is good to have the SE-7600 for possible future upgrade with StorEdge. SE-6000A was in a previous quote, I am not quite sure why the company changed the inverter.. I am assuming the 7600 is more expensive.
Appreciate your time on this board..
We have stopped selling the SE6000 all together.Leave a comment:
