Parabolic trough update...

My brother finally returned the borrowed tools & I have started my parabolic trough test panel.

I have had a set-back though. Getting the mylar to stick/stay in place has gotten tricky. I may have it fixed & have the panel available for a test this weekend. Of course, for now, the weather man says it's supposed to be raining.

I will update, maybe post a pix later.

Wow, great minds think alike! I bought a can of the spray adhesive listed in your link, the day after I posted my message.

I haven't used the adhesive yet. I decided to try the PVC primer & primer/glue combo. One trough I used just the pimer (after the cleaner) & the other the two combined. In both cases the troublesome Mylar seems to have stuck. I have placed it outside in partial sunshine to see if 'cooking it' would make a difference. However both are still in place.
Now if I can only get Mother Nature to cooperate, maybe I will get a chance to check the performance. I don't think we have had a sunny weekend for a month. I saw the weather forecast for this week, sunny skies, but rain on the weekend (again). Depending on the work load, I may take a vacation day to tinker with the panel.
