    Pressure At Solar Panel

Can someone tell me how to measure the pressure going into the solar panels? Also, what should the pressure be?

    Thanks for your help,

    Bob

You can put in a tee and a pressure gauge at the panels or somewhere along the feed pipe to the panels. The latter will be less accurate because it will not account for a pressure drop caused by flow through the pipe.

As for the pressure at the inlet to the panels, it should be fairly low and would depend on the design of the panels and the flow rate through them.

If the system is elevated there will be pressure differences just as a result of the differences in height at the points where you measure.
