For example there is a good explanation of the lighting facts label and what the terms mean.

LED's are way more efficient than other forms of lighting aren't they? or are florescent lights more efficient?
But what if you use 12% and only get 8% energy return not filling a battery completely off the solar array- is this considered a cycle? Mmmmmmm mauh brain's sizzling

Depends on the application and LED quality more than anything else. If you want a focused light LED is very good. Much improvement has been made in regards to spreading the light and light color in the past few years. Much more improvement is on the way.

If you do a lot of research you will find there is no consensus but about a million different opinions.

Either is better than the old style incandescent though in regards to power consumption.

The cheap LEDs in the big boxes are most likely to be of suspect quality.

The LED lamp technology is only now coming to the mass production stage where prices start to become reasonable.

CFL lamps from Joe's Pizza, Auto Repair and Lighting store are probably not the best choice. Same goes for LED lamps. Even if GE, Philips, Osram or others make a lamp in China they and their corporate name are responsible for the quality.

No about the same as CFL's. T5 and T8 florescent are still the most efficient.

We put LED lights in our recessed cans in the kitchen and dining room. Cree LR-6 lights are what we went with. led par lighting

You need to learn to dig into data. LED are no better than CFL and cannot touch fluorescent tubes.
