So, I'm totally new to the solar world, and am currently renting a place that runs off of solar electricity that is grid-tied. It has a Fronius IG Plus inverter that is mounted on the North side of the house, but also on a side that gets a lot of sunlight daily as this property has virtually no shade what so ever.
So the problem that I am encountering is that every single day since June, the inverter reads "State 207" at around 1:30pm, which I looked up, and I understand indicates that the solar system is not connected to the grid any longer. I called solar city regarding this, and they told me to go check the breaker panel and reset the "Photovoltaic backfeed" breaker. (Which has become a daily routine at this point, in the afternoons) I guess my question is, could this be an issue with the inverter overheating, since its getting direct sunlight all day long, and its been in the 90-100s since early June. (Unusual for Colorado....but it is what it is) Or does anyone else have a sneaky suspicion as to what could be causing this breaker to trip every day, and disconnecting the solar system from the grid?
Thanks!
LR
