5hp is about 5,000watts That's a Lot of power. To run that, you need about 7,000 - 8,000 watts of PV array, battery bank, and inverter. And likely a backup generator, because if it's cloudy the solar does not work. My guess is that here in USA, it would be $40K, not including the armed guards to keep it safe.
And I suspect, you would need a 3 phase motor, and drive controller, to be able to run that pump.Powerfab top of pole PV mount (2) | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 800A NiFe Battery (in series)| 15, Evergreen 205w "12V" PV array on pole | Midnight ePanel | Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV ||

You need to look for the smallest DC pump that fills your needs.
Going with the 5 hp traditional pump is going to be too costly.
look at what you really have to have - flow and lift.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Comment

You cannot afford it. Assuming the pump is 90% efficient which would be a stretch but possible running it for 8 hours per day is (746 watts / .9) x 5 x 8 hours = 33.2 Kwh per day or run. It would take around a 10,000 watt solar panel, and a 12,000 pound battery. It would cost you around $130,000, plus you get to replace a $24,000 battery every 5 years.
