Back in 2015 when I got my system it was $3 to $3.50/watt DC before the incentives. I haven't been following the market since then but I heard prices came down a bit. Fast forward to 2025. What is a reasonable cost per watt now? Toying with an idea to get a 5-6kW system in the LADWP territory before the FTC is no more. My understanding LADWP is not subjected to NEM3 or mandatory TOU, so no batteries are in scope to keep it simple.

Hi gvl,
My best guess (in not in USA) is just under $3/watt now, our site sponsors might be able to help at www.solarreviews.com -
If a solar installer can't do it for under$2/watt I tell them to go away. Most are charging about $3/wattComment
