Is it normal for your bill to be the same pre-solar in Dec?

Not normal for me. My solar generation for the worst bill period of the year (Nov-Dec) is approximately half of my solar generation for my best bill period of the year (May-June). It seems like the sun is shining most days here in Poway, CA. -
There are several issues here. And warnings for people who want to go solar.
Assuming that the $31k is before incentives then back of the envelope calculations look like you paid $6/kw. which is incredibly expensive. Did you get batteries? If not you were fleeced.
Do you have micro inverters or string inverters? Going down 90% in the winter is ridiculous . Clearly there is a problem. Why don’t you check the pvwatts calculator. What does it say you should be producing?
Also you better hope Nem3 gets modified or else your deal will get considerably worse.
To give you an example my system produced about 40% in January compared to June which is just about what the pvwatts calculator says it should.Leave a comment:

what was your power bill was this past month? We installed 15 solar panels in April 2021.
These past two months it is like the solar was turned off....Dec. 2021 and Jan. 2022.
Pre-solar Dec. 2020 PGE $124 With Solar Dec. 2021 $119....only now add our monthly solar payment $116.
Pre-solar Jan. 2021 PGE $135 With solar Jan. 2022 PGE $139...What??
Isn't Solar supposed to save you money??
We have been getting full sun...no shade trees...and we also have propane heat at a cost of $485 a month.
We had ESP Energy Service Partners install our 15 panels for $31,000. Talked to a supervisor who said..."It looks like your system is operating as expected". Not what we expected at all. We did not put a $31,000 lein on our house to pay TWICE as much for power in the winter months. In Dec. 2021 we only produced 93.2kwhs....In Jun 2021 we produced 1000kwhs...so Dec it was only 10%...this can not be "as expected" or we would have never gotten solar.
