    Small Chip inside panel, does this affect anything?

    I'm assuming the black part of the panel is what generates the electricity, is a little chip like this anything to worry about?
    There's also a small blue dot, I have no idea what the would be..

    Looks like sub-prime wafers used in those panels. Chips are not allowed in prime wafers, and the light blue area is incompletely coated, a QA failure.

    Hope the panels were not sold as first rate panels.

      Sold as brand new on Amazon, nothing mentioned about sub-standard quality. I'm new to solar panel quality, but I can see defects at least...
      There is even rust on the junction box leads. I'll be returning it. It has some scratches too..

        There are 3 wafers that have a blue tinge as well on the one with chips. Is this also an incomplete coating?

          Variations in shade is not as bad, and could be slight process difference over a large area as you show here. That first pic though, did not look good.
