Timer for solar panel system

Hi I have build a solar panel 12v DC powered 4G SIM card wedcam. It runs a camera and a router. I what to fit a timer that will turn or cut the power off at night. I what to use a timer because it will give me more control and save battery power and data.. can anyone help me with information. Thanks John

If you want to buy a timer for this, you can find them on amazon fairly cheaply. For example: https://www.amazon.com/JVR-Programma.../dp/B00WR0ELCO They claim it has up to 10 year battery life and can switch up to 16A. I'm not sure what it uses for a battery, however.

Another possibility is to program an Arduino or other microcontroller board to do this and have it drive a solid state relay. You won't save time or money, but you will have the complete flexibility of a fully programmable system.
