Correct, but what happens when she stops paying?
Or not, depending on whether the new owner decides to assume the contract. If he does not assume the contract, then the legal issue becomes who owns the system?at sale contract becomes yours to pay for 15 more years.
Copy or no copy of a contract would not be a reason for me to not purchase a home. I would be more interested in what the Title Insurance policy says. I would only need a copy if I wanted to assume the contract. The question is, why would i even want to do that?Time to move on if you can't get a copy of signed contract from bank.

I have a copy of the contract
it says the new owner does not assume th terms of the contract the original signer is liable.
They want $26k to buy it out however the only thing they did was attach the contract to the title
I did not sign that so they have no enforceable contract.
as for gas heating , it’s on LP has not city, when inspected
I was told they are very in efficient And should be changed to electricComment

I would change out any old style 80% efficient furnace to a 95% plus type common today.Originally posted by 1975api2488as for gas heating , it’s on LP has not city, when inspected

These bring in outside air for the flame and exhaust through a plastic pipe at low temp,
no heat going up the chimney constantly.
My take, a gallon of propane equals the resistance heating of 27 KWH of electricity. So
if my KWH costs 10 cents, the cost of simple electric heat becomes cheaper when propane
exceeds $2.70 a gallon, actually less depending on your furnace efficiency. I have seen
propane double that in winter, price manipulated to peak just when you need a refill.
Use a high efficiency heat pump, and multiply your electrical efficiency many times.

Yes, even if the contract is silent it is hard to enforce a contract on someone who is not a party to that contract. Covenants that run with the land are a different matter.
That price is over $3.50 per Watt. You could probably find a bigger system to fit you future needs for under $3 per Watt and get the ITC. How big is the service panel?9 kW solar, 42kWh LFP storage. EV owner since 2012Comment

Yes I understand all that. It’s just getting them off my back they try and pull the personal property card but civilcode 2924 says otherwise.
it will be a court battle or I can offer 50 cent a watt and be doneComment

I would tell them to do something anatomically impossible with themselves. But I love a good fight.Comment

The roof mounts and infrastructure are worth $0.50 a Watt, even if the system dies in a few years.9 kW solar, 42kWh LFP storage. EV owner since 2012Comment

I have not been keeping track, just buying what I need as I go along. Everything but mounts
ought to be in line with any string system. The treated wood mount was very cheap. For a
tilting mount to my specs, you really need to build to build 2 structures, the stationary base
and the tilting part. As it was the ton of aluminum in the base was from stuff already on hand
from previous experiments. Concrete and rebar not bad. I bought the majority of the half ton
tilting aluminum, and it seemed there had been a huge increase in the price of 6061 aluminum
in the last several years. Bruce RoeComment
