Loose wires on roof.

Just had my system installed a couple weeks ago and I noticed a couple loose wires under the panels. They don't appear to be touching the roof and everything is functioning fine. Is this something I should be worried about and contact my installer?

I cannot tell if that is a connector or an inverter/optimizer handing to the left, but that does not look ideal. I would definitely call the installer to look at that. Probably not a near term problem, but could cause issues down the road.

It definitely appears to be a connector. Sorry for the blurry pics, but I had to use digital zoom to get a pic on the roof.

MC4 connectors are waterproof and pretty resilient, but it really should not be hanging like that. Again, probably not an urgent item, but should be zip-tied better than that.

shouldn't actually be zip ties as they will not last as long as the solar system. Though many installers will use zip ties, to save money etc.

It should be clips provided by the racking manufacturer designed for holding the wires for the lifetime of the system.
as long as they are not in contact with other surfaces like the roof, it isn't a problem.

I spoke with my installer and sent them pics. They said as long as it's not touching the roof it should be fine. It appears to be slack in the wires. If it by any chance gets worse, let them know and they will come by and tie them up. That's fine with me. As far as I'm concerned the less people walking on my roof the better.
